Olive View Federal Credit Union’s (OVFCU) charter was approved on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1936.
Olive View Federal Credit Union traces its roots to the Olive View Sanatorium, which opened in 1920 to treat tuberculosis patients. As the hospital evolved and expanded, so did the need for accessible banking services.
In 1936, Olive View Federal Credit Union was officially formed, and its membership initially included only employees of the Olive View Sanatorium and their immediate families. Over the years, the membership base has grown significantly to include a wide range of individuals and families affiliated with Olive View-UCLA Medical Center and various health centers in the region.
The Credit Union is committed to providing valuable financial services to its members, with a focus on security, trust, and personal service. Over the years, it has experienced steady growth, consistently maintaining high levels of financial stability with strong internal controls to safeguard its assets.
